Members in good standing may request a 2026 hunting permit by completing the form below. Requests from non-members will not be considered.

The permits come from the State of Connecticut, and the state issues only a limited number of permits to Seymour Fish & Game members. This form puts your name on the request list. Members who hunted the property last season and members who plan to hunt it actively this season will be given preference. If you don't plan to hunt actively, please be mindful of fellow members who do before requesting a permit.

How it works

• Register here and answer a few short questions. Have your DEEP Conservation ID ready.
• Permit holders will receive a printable Seymour Fish & Game permit by email. Get your request in soon so you have it before opening day (October 17).
• The printable club permit is not enough on its own. You must pick up your official Connecticut permit at the club and sign it before you hunt.
• We keep the list open until all permits are given out.

New to bird hunting, or want to learn? You do not need a season permit. Reach out to Ken on the Hunting Committee and he can help you get out hunting on the property. Members who don't receive a permit can reach out to Ken too.

Optional $25 stocking donation. When you register you can add a $25 donation toward stocking birds. It is genuinely optional, it has no bearing on whether you receive a permit, and it is refunded in full if you don't.

Every permit holder is responsible for holding all of the licenses, stamps and tags the state requires for the birds being hunted. You are also responsible for knowing and following the state's seasons, hours and bag limits. Club property rules apply on top of the state's.

The birds and the habitat here are the work of members. Permit holders are expected to turn out for stocking days and seasonal clean-ups and lend a hand.
